Back Pain

Back Pain in Tallahassee, FL is the second most common health problem next to the common cold. Some people have to deal with it all the time, due to various reasons. Many seek relief but do not know where to start looking. Chiropractic Care is the answer that you have been looking for.

What Causes Lower Back Pain?

There are many causes for back pain but the most common cause of back pain is improper spinal alignment, causing spinal imbalance.

The most obvious cause of back pain is from trauma, or an injury resulting from vigorous activity. Injuries to your spinal discs occur when your disc bulges, or ruptures. This issue is commonly referred to as a slipped disc. Proper spinal alignment through chiropractic adjustments is a key to prevention of back pain.

If spinal alignment is left uncorrected, weakness, imbalance and degeneration can occur. Degeneration of the spine, whether structural (alignment) or organic (bone + disc wasting) will put pressure on the spinal nerves, which control the function of ALL organs, glands and muscles. As a result, your health will decrease.

Dr. Whitfield and his team will perform an orthopedic and neurological exam as well as spinal x-rays to determine what you need to get back to proper balance and alignment.

The best way to treat back pain is to PREVENT IT. Our treatment procedures are designed to:

1. Reduce pain
2. Stabilize and rehabilitate
3. Correct the alignment and strengthen the spine
